Prisca VanDessel

After being classically schooled in Latin and Greek, Prisca Van Dessel decided to go for a degree for goldsmith and jewel designer. Participating in international design competition she was awarded ‘laureat’ of the ‘Prix de la Ville de Genève’. After more than a decade of working as a freelance jewel designer, she finally switched fulltime to her childhood passion, being heraldry and ornament. Specialty: designing and traditionally painting coat of arms, calligraphy and illumination with gilding . For well over a decade she now also is ‘housepainter’ for both Council of Nobility and Flemish Heraldic Council in Belgium, making letters patent.
