Philipp Siedentopf was born on 31 July 1975 in Burchsaal, Germany. After graduating from the Aloisuskolleg, a Jesuit boarding school for boys, he enlisted in the German Navy for two years and served in the 5th Speedboat Squadron on S59 Reiher. After his military service, he studied economics in Aachen and Bielefeld, where he graduated with a degree in economics, majoring in marketing. After working in various fields, including for the German Football Association and Coca-Cola, he moved to Switzerland in 2007. After a foray into the real estate industry and a period as the owner of a consulting firm for marketing, PR and fundraising, Siedentopf decided to dedicate his life to fighting for others. He was project manager for the animal welfare organisation FOUR PAWS during the construction of the first bear sanctuary in Switzerland, AROSA Bärenland, and worked for two years as head of marketing and communications at the Swiss Fire Fighter Association. In 2020, he moved to Switzerland for UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency's national partner for Switzerland. The foundation supports UNHCR's mission by raising critical funds and advocating for people forced to flee.
