Archduke agrees Patronage

The Heraldic Institute e.V. is honoured to announce that His Imperial & Royal Highness Casimir Salvator, Imperial Prince and Archduke of Austria, Royal Prince of Hungary and Bohemia, has graciously agreed to serve as Patron of the Institute.

For the Heraldic Institute, whose work embraces heraldic traditions from across Europe and beyond, the patronage of Archduke Casimir Salvator is especially fitting. It reflects the Institute’s commitment to the serious study of heraldry in its historical, artistic, and international dimensions. We are privileged to be one of only a handful of heraldic associations worldwide with direct royal patronage. The connection seems especially fitting since our registered offices are in the town of Endingen, Germany, which received many rights and privileges in the 400 years it was under direct Habsburg rule 1379–1805.
