Deputy Director joins Order of St Lazarus

We are thrilled to report that Wilhelm Horwood, the chair of the heraldic committee for the Deutsches Erbe Wappenrolle, was invested into the Military and Hospitaller Order of St Lazarus of Jerusalem with the grade of Commander (CLJ).

The investiture took place at the Oratory Church of St Alban-on-the-Moors in Cardiff on 12 October 2024. He received the Order's mantle and the insignia of a Commander from Dr David Woolf the Bailiff of the Grand Priory of England and Wales.

Wilhelm felt very honoured to be invested at the same ceremony as such illustrious people as Archbishop Mark O'Toole, the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Cardiff-Menevia, and The Right Reverend and Right Honourable The Lord Williams of Oystermouth, former Anglican Archbishop of Canterbury, who were both also invested with honours and ranks in the Order.
