Library named after Institute Fellow
Brady Brim-DeForest honoured

Yesterday, the New England Historic Genealogical Society (now known as the American Ancestors) in Boston celebrated the official naming of the Brim-DeForest Library, honouring their (and our) most generous supporters: entrepreneur and philanthropist Brady Brim-DeForest.
Brim-DeForest’s support helps American Ancestors preserve and expand their library, which welcomes thousands of researchers every year. With holdings that span the 14th century to the present, the library continues to grow as a vital center for discovery, scholarship, and connection.
Located in their Boston headquarters, the Brim-DeForest Library spans multiple floors and houses one of the largest collections of family heritage materials in the world, including over 200,000 books and 28 million manuscript items. The Brim-DeForest Library is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10am to 6pm. Access is free for American Ancestors members, and $25 for non-members.
